Revealed! Jonathan bribed pastors with N7bn, not N6bn – Cleric

The alleged N6 Billion bribe to the country’s Christian clerics to induce them and rally support for the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the rescheduled Presidential election has been confirmed after all.

A Borno-based Pastor and Executive Director of the Voice of Northern Christian Movement Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, said on Thursday that the money that was given to pastors by the President was actually N7bn and not N6bn as alleged by Amaechi, who doubles as the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation.

It will be recalled that Amaechi had alleged that unnamed leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party paid N6bn to Christian clerics to campaign against Buhari and the APC.
He revealed that the money was channeled through the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), adding that the money was released on January 26, 2015, while the sum of N3 Million was earmarked and sent to each of the State CAN Chairmen across the country.

Similarly, the Cleric affirmed the disbursement was made the same day.

Consequently, Pastor Musa Dikwa revealed that CAN leadership has begun to threaten the clerics who shared in the President Jonathan election’s largesse to ensure they secure victory for Mr. President, failure of which they would face the unpleasant music.

The Borno State based Pastor who also confirmed that the CAN President fronted for President Jonathan in the deal, pointed out that “some Pentecostal Bishops also collected their share. Actually, the money is not N6bn, it is N7bn.

“This is what I know. One of the CAN officials from Abuja told me that they have collected the money. The corruption in CAN is terrible. They are corrupting the body of Christ because of money”.
Pastor Musa – Dikwa stated sequel to the raging threats, there is now a smearing campaign that if the opposition APC Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtrd) was elected, the country would be Islamized, while his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo had collected “monies from Islamic world” and later resign soon after getting into the office and give way for the opposition Chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to occupy the same position.

It would be recalled the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi recently blew the alarm that President Jonathan’s camp induced some clerics in the country with the sum of N6 Billion. The allegation, just confirmed was then rebuffed and carpeted, especially by the ruling camp, which demanded for evidence to substantiate the claim
