Plateau State civil servants yesterday stayed away from work in compliance with the strike action declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) chairman in the state, Jubril Bancir.

The strike action was called after the ultimatum given to Gov Jonah Jang and the Plateau state government expired.
Jibrin Bancir, the state chairman of NLC gave the directive while briefing newsmen recently on the occasion of the 2015 Workers Day.
