Gov. Ambode appoints new SSG; announces other appointees

  • ShareNew Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has announced the appointment of a few key officials who will serve in his government.
In a statement personally signed by Ambode in Lagos, he said Mr. Tunji Bello will assume the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG); Mr. Samuel Olukunle Ojo as the Chief of Staff while Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye will serve as Principal Private Secretary.
Mr. Habib Adamson Aruna was also appointed the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.
Bello is a journalist and lawyer who was once the former Commissioner for Environment under Babatunde Fashola. He is armed with a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos. He is also the former Editor of The National Concord.
Ojo, the new Chief of Staff is presently the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Aruna on the other hand is a former Editor of Sunday Independent. He studied Political Science at Bayero University and obtained a Masters in the same course at the University of Ibadan.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect.
