A group known as the Forum for the Protection of the Integrity of
Northern Leaders, has advised Nigerians not to join issues with former
Niger Delta militant leader, Alhaji Mujahideen Asari Dokubo and
spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.
Chairman of the forum, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, stated this at a press
conference yesterday in Birnin-Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital, while
reacting to the threat issued by ex-militant leaders to declare war if
President Jonathan loses the February 14 presidential election.
“There is nothing worth joining issues with Asari Dokubo and Femi
Fani-Kayode because they do not possess any moral standing to be taken
seriously by any society that meets civilised standard”, he said adding
that, by the grace of God Nigeria is one of such countries.
“For those who believe erroneously that they possess the monopoly of
mischief I advise them to have a rethink. We know the value of freedom
and the price for it and we are prepared for both”.
Na’Allah, who is also the Kebbi South Senatorial candidate of the All
Progressives Congress, added that rigging and vote buying has come to
an end in Nigeria.
“We are practitioners in the management and execution of plans to
bring societal miscreants to order. Never again shall we allow people
with moral deficit to continue to hold us back from the part of
greatness as a country.
“Those who rig election to occupy elected offices are nothing but
criminals who do not deserve any respect by the society. We would
employ all available legal means to bring them to order and where
necessary make them to pay for their sins against our collective will as
a people”, he said.
