As expected from a party which just recorded a most impressive
victory at the polls, the APC is currently concerning itself with how to
share the various positions available, starting with the national
assembly where a delicate zoning formula has to be negotiated.
It seems that at the end of a crucial meeting yesterday, the party
has now resolved to zone the office of the senate president to the North
Central, the same zone which has held it for eight years. For the
position of speaker, that office will be occupied by someone from the
North East.
Due to the overwhelming victory of the PDP in the SOuth-East, that
zone is likely going to lose out on any of the major principal offices.
