Pres. Jonathan sacks Police IGP Suleiman Abba with immediate effect - names replacement

President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the Inspector General of Police, Sulaiman Abba, with immediate effect.

Abba has been acting as IG since last year when ex-IGP Mohammed Abubakar was in charge.

He has now appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase as the Acting IGP.

Presidential Spokesman/Media Adviser, Reuben Abati made the announcement on twitter.
