Everyday day for the thief, one day for the owner they say and once
again, it has proven correct as Mary Akinloye, popularly known as the
OLX Nanny has finally chewed more than she should have. The nanny who abducted the Orekoya kids was arrested after she fled her home when she realized police operatives have closed in on her.
The nanny, who kidnapped three kids in the Surulere area of Lagos State last week has confessed that she also kidnapped the two kids (Raphael and Michael Esharegan) from the Magodo area of the state, who were kidnapped last year.
Akinloye was nabbed Wednesday by the Police after tracking her via technological means and after spending less than a day in the hands of the law, she finally revealed that her team, which consisted of her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, her husband and herself, pulled the same kind of kidnapping in December, and made N2m from the Magodo kidnap.
Singing like a bird, the rogue nanny explained that she wasn’t Mary Akinloye by name and also revealed that she had also lied about being 23 years old.
She also went ahead to beg the Orekoya family to forgive her claiming that she was forced to kidnap the children.
The police say contrary to what she told
her employer and the OLX portal, her real name is Funmilayo Adeyemi and
she hails from Osun State. She had earlier claimed Oyo State to her
cover tracts.
According to Police sources, Adebiyi is
not new in the kidnapped business, she was the mastermind of the
December, 2014 kidnap of two boys in the area.
Sources also said, she runs a syndicate
with others, who are still at large and effort is on to arrest the other
members of the gang
