The presidential candidates of the two main parties in Nigeria,
Goodluck Jonathan (PDP) and Muhammadu Buhari (APC), both attended the
sensitization workshop for non-violence put together by the offices of
the national security adviser and the special adviser to the president
on inter-party affairs.
The event was chaired by former commonwealth secretary general, Emeka Anyaoku.
Jonathan and Buhari who have been involved in a heated war of words
since the start of the campaign, put all that aside as they embraced
each other for the cameras.
The national chairmen of the two parties – Adamu Muazu (PDP) and John
Odigie-Oyegun (APC) – were also in attendance and warmly embraced as
well.
