Rep raises alarm over Jonathan’s two year extension plot

Hon Rotimi Makinde, a member of the House of Representatives has raised alarm over grand plans by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to extend the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan by two years.
Mr. Makinde in his facebook media platform, noted that there is no serious intention in the part of Mr. President to conduct election this 2015, as his aides and associates have conspired to scuttle the upcoming polls.
He revealed that the shift in the dates of the general election based on security report was far from the truth.
According to him, the latest plot by Jonathan’s led administration is to strategically lobby with the National Assembly members to approve the elongation by initial 6months and by further extension up to two more years.
Makinde added without sentiment that the President’s proposal is gaining momentum at the moment, especially within the circle of many aggrieved members who never secured return ticket and so also within many who during the campaign period had tested the pool and saw failure coming their way, and hence consider the proposed extension as better option.
Also too, he said the fear of Buhari’s emergence as President is another contributing factor to the move for the elongation of tenure, as Jonthan’s administration expressed fear that Buhari might probe them to the pants.
He therefore called on Nigerians to intensify prayers and vehemently kick against the intensions to extend tenure by two years.
“Failure of the Presidency to comply with the general wishes of the people may cause doom for this great country.” Makinde added.
