In a letter to the vice chancellor of
the University of Port Harcourt, the Institute of Human Rights and
Humanitarian Law has applied for the PhD records of President Goodluck
Jonathan. The institute stated that it was representing the “interest of
Omano Edigheji,PhD, a Nigerian Citizen”.
“Pursuant to S .2 and S.4 of the Freedom
of Information Act, 2011,we apply on behalf of Omano Edigheji,PhD for
the following information on President Goodluck Jonathan’s PhD
qualification,” wrote Nsirimovu Courage, who signed the application
dated February 2,2015.
He asked the school to provide the
following: title of his PhD dissertation; year of registration as a PhD
student; title of the PhD thesis/dissertation; name of PhD
supervisor(s); name of external examiner(s); comments/reports of
external examiners on the dissertation/thesis; photocopy of the PhD
dissertation/thesis; and finally, date of graduation.
“We are willing to pay the amount for
the photocopy and postage of this information. Please let us have your
account details within one day of receipt of this request”.
Also, the letter said “we would be grateful if this request is granted within 5 working days upon receipt of same.”
