Against
the backdrop of insinuations that some members of the political class
are planning to flee the country after the general elections, a
cross-section of politicians insist they will remain in the country,
write PUNCH correspondents
As a result of the rising wave of
violence ahead of the February 28 and April 11 general elections,
politicians across the country have resorted to the use of
non-conventional security organs such as ex-militants and vigilante
groups.
A number of the politicians interviewed
by PUNCH correspondents vowed not to flee the country if their parties
lost the general elections.
